Behesht Zahra, Cemetery in Iran
Behesht-e Zahra is the largest cemetery in Iran. Municipal cemetery: the size of approximately 540 h and the number of graves 160,000 (2020y.) Located in the southern part of the metropolis of Tehran, it is connected to the city by the Tehran metro line References History In the early 1950s, all cemeteries in Tehran were to be replaced by several large new ones outside the capital's districts. Behesht-e Zahra was built in the late 1960s on the south side of Tehran towards the city of Qom and opened in 1970. Mohammad-Taghi Khial was the first person to be buried in Behesht-e Zahra
